Export leads in Romania for Czech producer of electronic monitoring and GPS tracking systems

Objective: A leading producer of electronic monitoring systems for tracking of freight contracted EasyLink to develop export leads in Romania, with a focus on its product range for railway cargo.
Results: EasyLink contacted 30 companies pre-selected by the client + additional 20 companies identified through our own research. We also provided a 6-page market analysis to identify trends, market size and key players. The effort resulted in 2 virtual meetings with prospective partners while a 3rd company requested a price quotation for 1,000 units of the client's system.

Public transportation data and mobile ticketing research

Objective: Scandinavian provider of public transportation smart ticketing solutions wished to obtain hard data on the Czech public transportation system and ticketing systems used, particularly on cost of travel, available payment methods (cash, bank cards, transport cards, mobile apps, QR codes), volume/size of public transportation country-wide and in top 3 cities, key transport operators including their transport modes and fleet size, key automated fare collection system providers, systems used (open vs closed loop), hardware in place as well as developers and providers of mobile ticketing applications and links to tenders for the selection of mobile ticketing providers.
Results: The data was delivered to the client via their requested spreadsheet file. The Czech Republic boasts a well-developed public transportation system - not only for travel within cities and towns, but also between various municipalities. The public transportation system in the capital city of Prague is provided via 3 metro lines (730 vehicles), 811 tram vehicles (plus two funiculars), and 1,241 buses plus suburban and intercity trains operated as part of the integrated system. We profiled seven key transport operators (providing their contact details and info on their transport modes and fleet size). The country is a home to a major European producer of ticketing systems whose solutions are used in more than 45 countries, over 110 cities, including 23 capital cities. 11 leading mobile ticketing applications were profiled.

Automation/robotic system for online retailers and retail chains - sales lead development in Czech Republic

Objective: First, our task was to establish if there is sufficient market potential in the Czech Republic which would justify the need for a local distribution partner. Subject to positive findings, we were to identify a local partner to sell and service the client's robotic systems in the Czech Republic.
Results: EasyLink set up meetings with 4 potential distribution and implementation partners and 2 large international e-shops which are on the lookout for new technologies.

Traffic monitoring technology legislation analysis and market research for the Czech market

Objective: Our client, Latvian leading mobile operator, system integrator, and technology developer, tasked EasyLink to provide legal environment, competitor, and prospective partners overview.
Results: EasyLink consultant compiled legal environment analysis including traffic monitoring technology requirements, certifications, and decision-making processes, as well as traffic violations procedures in the country. Six companies were identified a promising partners and ten companies were evaluated as competitors.

Virtual meetings in Romania arranged for Canadian supplier of traffic data systems

Objective: Following a successful project in Poland, our company was hired to identify prospective distributors and customers in the field of traffic studies, and to arrange five virtual meetings (due to travel restrictions during the covid-19 pandemic).
Results: The EasyLink team in Romania identified and contacted a total of 27 relevant companies and organizations, and arranged a total of 6 online meetings, providing company profiles for the full list, and contact person and other details for the qualified and interested six parties. Meetings were held over several weeks in October and early November.

US freight forwarder seeks business partners in Poland and the Czech Republic

Objective: The client needed to identify new partners who could help them move freight internationally within CEE. The client´s focus are products from the industrial and mining sectors.
Results: EasyLink first prepared short profiles of potential partners in both countries for review by the client. In the Czech Republic, EasyLink contacted 11 prospects and generated three potential leads. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus epidemic the visit planned for late March 2020 was cancelled. EasyLink prepared the final report with responses of companies approached as of the date of the visit cancellation and recommended the client to initiate direct communication with the interested companies. In Poland, the contact phase had not yet started as of the visit cancellation date.

Customer meetings set up for Canadian supplier of traffic data collection solutions

Objective: The client, a Canadian company with established business presence in Germany, creates intelligent solutions for in-house and outsourced traffic data collection, and advanced traffic signal operations. EasyLink was commissioned for a project to approach potential customers in Poland and to arrange a series of sales meetings.
Results: We identified around 40 potential buyers primarily among companies who deliver traffic studies as a service and larger organizations that conduct traffic studies for their own use. Following a successful series of contacts, EasyLink has developed sales opportunities with 12 potential customers - with 7 meetings arranged during a first market visit and 5 companies lined up for a second trip.

Distributor search for Irish based electrical machinery producer in the Czech Republic

Results: Easylink’s consultant compiled an initial list of 21 prospective partners, of which 6 were interested in possible cooperation and further discussed the opportunity with the client via online meetings.

Data collection for a german fuel card provider: Poland, Romania

Objective: Our client is a German fuel card provider. The client is especially active in the B2B Heavy truck segment but does also serve clients with Light commercial and Passenger car fleets. For their sales and marketing activities a dashboard is requested with KPIs, customer needs and major developments of countyspecific road transportation, fuel card and leasing markets. The client has already developed the dashboard for Germany. The client expects comparable results for other countries starting with Poland.
Results: Having consulted multiple primary sources (e.g. Central Statistical Office, Polish Organization of Oil industry and Trade, Polish Leasing Association, Central Register of Vehicles and Drivers etc.) and conducted a number of interviews with market experts, EasyLink delivered a comprehensive spreadsheet with data on transport modes, HGV vehicles, fuel consumption, Polish leasing companies and their respective market shares, type of financing, fleets by size, fuel consumption by fleets and general trends thus providing the client with valuable information and inidcators to be further used for their project. Later in the same year, the client also requested similar assistance with research in Romania.

South Korea’s no. 1 producer of lifting and support equipment catches the eyes of Russian and Polish shipyards

Objective: Our client produces ship parts lifting and assembly equipment and in-dock transport equipment and is an absolute leader in its home market as well as a prominent exporter. They wished to meet potential partners – shipyards and distributors – in Russia and Poland and joined EasyLink’s Shipbuilding Trade Mission to St. Petersburg and Gdansk in September 2017.
Results: The client met 10 companies at 2 day-long B2B events in the two markets and had the opportunity to discuss cooperation with some of the largest local shipyards and the import/export organization of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, which designs, builds and repairs 80% of Russian vessels. The Polish shipyards were especially interested in the client’s solutions.

Shipbuilding fittings targeting Russia and Poland

Results: EasyLink organized 2 B2B matchmaking events – one at the NEVA shipbuilding trade fair in St. Petersburg and the second as a stand-alone event in Gdansk, the capital of Polish shipbuilding. Our client was able to meet 19 companies, including outfitting companies, design offices and large shipyards (e.g. Remontowa, Severnaya Shipyard) with whom they discussed capabilities and potential cooperation.

EasyLink was tasked with organizing meetings with handpicked partners at B2B events in St. Petersburg, Russia and Gdansk, Poland.
Results: The client was able to meet 10 potential partners in Russia and 7 in Poland. These included top distributors of marine equipment, shipyards (e.g. Vega Group), Russian Shipbuilding and Shiprepair Technology Center, fleet owners and design offices.

Objective: Our client manufactures patented technology and wishes to meet several shipyards in Poland following a previous visit 8 years ago when this opportunity faded away with the start of the global crisis in 2008.
Results: The EasyLink consultant in Poland conducted market research into companies involved in shipbuilding, ship repair industry and some potential distributors. The consultant approached a total of 33 companies and arranged 6 meetings. We also provided a brief overview of the shipbuilding industry in Poland for the client's reference.

Results: EasyLink was again commissioned by this client to prepare another market visit. This time we were asked to approach nine companies to set up appointments for the trip to Russia in October 2016. Four sales leads were identified!

Leading U.S. freight forwarder looking for an acquisition target in the CEE region

Objective: Our client wished to expand its activities in Central and Eastern Europe and approached EasyLink with an inquiry for identifying suitable acquisition targets among Czech and Polish logistics companies.
Results: EasyLink’s consultants in the Czech Republic and Poland short-listed over 60 companies matching the client's initial criteria. After his review the list was narrowed down to 35 companies whose top managers were subsequently approached with an offer for strategic partnership. The companies were also closely screened. In the end, a face-to-face meeting with a suitable Polish candidate was arranged for our client's M&A advisor.

U.S. producer of container liners seeks agents in Hungary

Objective: Our client, a producer of container liners for liquids (oils and wines) and dry goods, requested assistance in identifying an agent in Hungary that would present and market their products to the logistics and bulk shipping industry.
Results: We compiled an initial list of prospects – companies involved in distribution of packaging materials and equipment as well as companies offering packaging and logistic solutions - for client’s review. We then proceeded to interviewing and evaluating their managers. The client was presented with profiles of 11 best candidates keen to negotiate specific partnership terms and conditions.

U.S. logistics provider offers support to Czech and Hungarian exporters and logistics companies

Objective: Our client wished to strengthen and reactivate existing and past relationships built during his past two in-market visits and commissioned EasyLink to schedule meetings (re-approaching several selected companies) with Czech logistics companies. In addition, the client decided to also utilize our services to establish contacts with manufacturers/exporters and shipping companies in Hungary.
Results: EasyLink arranged 8 meetings with the leading Czech logistics providers for our client’s two-day visit to Prague and 5 meetings in Hungary (this part of the trip required extensive travel throughout the country) where the client discussed particular business opportunities with e.g. Waberer’s - the largest logistics service provider in Central Europe and Herend – the world's largest porcelain manufactory operating for over 180 years.

Foreign client requests prices of forklift trucks

Objective: Our task called for pricing of 26 different models of counterbalance forklift trucks from different dealers and was carried out for purchase as well as leasing of new trucks.
Results: The consultant identified and approached companies selling and renting the appropriate brands of new forklift trucks in order to request price quotes for the given models. After receiving their quotes, the consultant converted all the information into the currency of choice (EUR) and ensured all the price quotes addressed the pre-specified criteria. Furthermore, the consultant provided translation of parts of individual quotes.

Key Czech producer of bulk material loading systems targets customers in Great Britain

Objective: EasyLink was asked to identify, approach, evaluate and arrange meetings with qualified & keen prospective distributors of vertical telescopic dust-free loading chutes with focus on companies currently dealing with related products such as industrial filters or industrial conveyors.
Results: Extensive research was carried out in order to pre-select 57 potential partners that fit our client’s requirements. From this initial database, EasyLink’s in-market consultant targeted 23 entities selected by the client. Altogether 7 meetings were scheduled for the client’s visit to the U.K. held concurrently with its participation at the Easyfair Solids exhibition. 4 additional companies expressed interest as potential end-users and were invited to visit the client’s stand. Our final report included a detailed meeting itinerary, full company profiles, contact details and feedback responses from all targeted companies.

Objective: A Czech-based subsidiary of a multinational logistics group commissioned EasyLink to develop a tailor-made database of potential new clients active in several market segments.
Results: EasyLink developed a customized user-friendly database in MS Access containing close to 200 potential customers for value added logistics services. Individual entries included names and titles of key decision makers - logistics manager, transportation/warehouse manager, managing director, sales manager and others; company profiles, financial indicators and short company description for each customer. As a bonus, EasyLink prepared envelope labels with printed addresses to facilitate our client’s direct marketing campaign.

Advising a client on legislation pertaining to forwarding/transportation companies in Slovakia

Objective: Our client wishing to create an international and domestic road transportation company would like to know what legislation applies to the road transport of goods in Slovakia and what legislation/requirements pertain to the drivers - contributions to social insurance, driving legal hours and transport allowances.
Results: Our final report outlined the key applicable road legislation (6 acts, e.g. on road act, road tax and work hours of drivers), legislation on allowances and travel expenses as well as an overview of social and health insurance contributions by employers, employees and self-employed. The client was extremely impressed not only with the content of the report, but also with the fact we were able to accommodate the client’s request on an extremely short notice.

Compiling a database of potential customers

Results: During the course of our work we used a cross-search method to compile an initial database of targets. We then contacted the companies to verify and complete all the information requested by the client.
