French furniture brand looking for furniture producer in Poland

Objective: With the objective of finding better substitute for Chinese contract manufacturers, a French furniture brand requested help in identifying prospective production partners in Poland for children furniture.
Results: Our in-market team identified 20+ companies for initial screening, qualified them in view of designs, technologies and volumes required, and eventually arranged 4 meetings - company visits - with Polish companies who were both qualified and interested. A Polish consultant accompanied the client during their 3-day visit to provide facilitation and support during the trip and the actual business meetings.

US lumber producer requests meetings with buyers in northeastern Europe

Objective: Part of a Spanish group and with a track record of 30 years of supplying the timber industry, with warehouses in Spain and UK, the client identified Finland, Norway, Estonia and Lithuania as new potential export markets and requested assistance in arranging meetings with a short list of pre-identified potential buyers.
Results: EasyLink verified and contacted 11 companies targetted by the client and qualified them based on their potential and interest. A meeting program with 2 meetings in Estonia and 3 meetings in Finland was arranged, including full logistic details on transportation and accommodation, and a sixth meeting in Norway was pre-arranged for a later date.

Screening Poland for manufacturer of lignum-vitae wood bearings

Objective: The client is the world’s only custom manufacturer of lignum-vitae self-lubricated/water-lubricated wood bearings for hydro plants, wave turbines, ship stern tubes, food processing & a variety of industrial applications. Our task was to provide assessment of market potential in Poland’s shipbuilding industry and the hydropower sector.
Results: In a 21-page report, EasyLink provided detailed information on 4 key customer sectors: hydropower plants, shipbuilding industry, ship and ferry operators and turbine manufacturers. In each sector, we listed all relevant players and provided detailed company profiles of the top ones.

Export opportunities for Italian producer of hotel and residential furniture

Objective: First, EasyLink was asked to recommend the best CEE market to begin with. We conducted a short market scoping research in 5 CEE markets - Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria. The findings were presented to the client and assessed together, after which a decision was to proceed with Hungary to identify potential partners for export among design interior companies and furniture distributors.
Results: EasyLink compiled a list of 12 potential partners (previously profiled and approved by the client), to which another 6 companies were added in order to increase chances for more meetings. 8 companies expressed interest in further discussion and meetings were arranged with 6 prospects in September 2018. EasyLink prepared a detailed itinerary, assisted with all logistics matters and provided in-market assistance (interpreting) for the whole market trip. In order to facilitate further communication with companies met, EasyLink conducted follow-up interviews with all companies to assess their readiness to continue talks with the Italian producer.

Irish landscape company seeking to source wood from Poland

Objective: Our client is one of Ireland’s leading landscaping companies and contracted EasyLink to identify and contact companies supplying kiln dried logs and other relevant wooden products for landscaping or trading business.
Results: EasyLink focused on Northern Poland where the log business is thriving and the near Warsaw area and contacted 15 relevant companies. Some companies provided prices, but stressed that the season for this year was over and new contracts would be negotiated in spring next year. Six companies agreed to meet the client and EasyLink arranged meetings with top 5 leads experienced in exports for November 2017.

U.S. hardwood producer seeks partners in 4 CEE countries

Objective: Our client, a producer of hardwood and hardwood flooring wished to explore business opportunities in the Czech Republic, Poland, Estonia and Lithuania and commissioned our services to identify, contact and arrange meetings with producers of wooden flooring, solid furniture, doors and other relevant hardwood products and with hardwood importers and distributors.
Results: Our client embarked on a demanding 2-week-long visit in August 2015 to attend 30 meetings arranged by our team in the 4 countries. The client was able to meet with an excellent mix of companies, including some of the largest wooden flooring producers and exporters in CEE, notably in Estonia and Lithuania, and the largest furniture manufacturer in the Czech Republic. Extensive travelling was required and EasyLink also arranged car and driver hire for the client as well as interpreter services whenever needed.

Compiling an initial list of prospects in Bulgaria for a UK timber producer

Objective: EasyLink was asked to research and identify potential suppliers of processed wood products in Bulgaria for a UK specialist in consultancy and trade in the timber market, providing services and products to wood processors, builders’ merchants, furniture manufacturers and others.
Results: EasyLink team in Varna researched companies involved in production of wood products for the industry. In the course of this project a total of 25 companies were identified as potential suppliers, all of them being producers of wood products for the construction and furniture industries. Interviews conducted by EasyLink showed very high level of interest, as all of the companies were seeking reliable export partners and UK seems to be a very interesting market for Bulgarian producers. 7 companies expressed interest in discussing partnership with the client and meetings were arranged with them for June 2014.

U.S. hardwood lumber processor visits 6 Polish companies

Objective: EasyLink is commissioned to schedule meetings with prospective buyers of hardwood lumber in Poland.
Results: Our consultant in Poland identified, evaluated and approached 31 prospective buyers in Poland. This time the focus was on companies involved in import of hardwood lumber, producers of wooden flooring as well as wooden fencing and garden furniture. During a very successful visit (arranged by EasyLink) in May 2011 the client held 6 meetings in Central and Western Poland. Amongst other companies he met with Barlinek - the largest Polish and one of the largest European manufacturers of wooden flooring, and PEPLINSKI & BANASZEWSKI – an importer of wood (timber) and veneers. Interpretation at meetings was provided by EasyLink consultant in Poland who accompanied the client during the entire 3-day trip and also provided in-market assistance. The client was extremely satisfied with the services provided, stating “All six of our visits were to Polish companies sincerely interested in importing North American Hardwoods. EasyLink's Polish representative did an excellent job researching companies, organizing the visits and was an excellent translator who seemed to establish an excellent rapport with the principals/buyers in each meeting.”

Targeting Czech and Polish producers of flooring materials

Objective: One of the largest producers of Northern and Appalachian hardwood lumber and log products in the United States used in the manufacture of flooring, cabinets, millwork and fine furniture sought to meet with prospective buyers in the Czech Republic (and for now only identify such buyers in Poland).
Results: EasyLink first identified prospective targets (19 in Poland and 12 in the Czech Republic) among flooring and moulding companies. The consultant then approached 10 best prospects in the Czech Republic to inquire into their hardwood procurement practices and needs. In January 2010, the client met with the top 2 prospective buyers – producers of wooden floors.

Targeted meetings for an Italian manufacturer of mobile & stationary wood band saws

Objective: The client was seeking qualified distributors keen to cover the Czech and Slovak markets with its line of mobile and stationary wood band saws.
Results: The EasyLink team approached top managers in over 60 companies active in distribution and servicing of forestry & wood processing machines and scheduled meetings with 8 Czech and 7 Slovak qualified & interested partners. EasyLink consultants accompanied the client to all the meetings held in the two countries to provide interpretation and consulting assistance.
