Virginia TM visits Czech Republic for business meetings and Future Forces Forum

Objective: The trade mission consisted of 4 military related and 2 cybersecurity companies that wished to leverage potential in the Czech Republic and the ongoing security crisis related to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Several months of preparation would lead to a week-long visit involving meetings with high-profile clients, local distributors and potential clients. Our team organised meetings both at the Future Forces Forum event and outside, at company/organisation premises as required and provided in-market support both at and outside the event.
Results: The mission was highly successful as the clients had a full programme of meetings (10 on average), which also included meeting decision makers of the Ministry of the Defence, Ministry of the Interior, Police Forces (including the local rapid response unit), Military Police and the National Agency for Communication and Information Technologies. In addition to that, the clients were able to meet and discuss cooperation with high-profile distributors and potential end-clients in the military/cybersecurity sector.

Montana's first-ever trade mission to Central & Eastern Europe

Objective: The Department of Commerce of Montana, USA, contracted EasyLink - based on a recommendation - to assist Montana exporters in developing sales into Central and Eastern Europe by organizing multiple trade missions. In the first year, Poland and Romania were selected as the target markets.
Results: EasyLink assisted Montana in recruiting mission participants by providing market intelligence on sectors with best opportunities for US exports as well as by pre-qualifying interested companies and assisting their decisions by providing specific insights on expected market potential. The mission group consisted of 6 Montana companies who visited Poland and Romania in mid September 2022, and had a total of 48 meetings with pre-qualified and pre-selected local partners and customers with confirmed interest in discussing and developing a partnership. The mission resulted in USD 2.01 million in projected export sales over 12 months, including USD 105 thousand in immediate sales during the actual trade mission.

Hybrid Virginia trade mission to Central and Eastern Europe

Objective: To further develop export sales into Central and Eastern Europe, Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), a Virginia state agency, offered Virginia companies another opportunity to have market research, customer/distributor search and meeting schedule organized by EasyLink, VEDP's longterm representative in the CEE region. Due to continued covid pandemic, some companies opted for virtual meetings only, while 2 companies moved ahead with a physical market visit.
Results: The 2 travelling companies each had a full schedule of meetings at local companies's premises in Poland (Warsaw and Gdansk) and in Romania (Bucharest and two regional cities). The other 5 companies, while unable to benefit from the many advantages of an actual market visit, were given a chance to flexibily select CEE markets of their preference - thanks to EasyLink's full coverage of the CEE region. The mission, originally a 2-country project, thus eventually included also the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. A total of 52 one-to-one meetings was organized. We also contacted all local parties after the mission to collect their feedback (and passed it on to our Virginia clients). For VEDP, we later conducted a post-event customer satisfaction survey among the 7 participants in order to learn about their results and assessment of the program and our work.

Virginia trade mission to Poland and Romania turns virtual due to covid

Objective: A Virginia trade mission visit was planned for the spring of 2020, with 7 participating Virginia companies. Due to continued covid-related travel restrictions and concerns, the mission was later re-focused towards organizing online meetings with identified prospective partners and customers.
Results: While three Virginia companies decided to put things on hold and wait until a physical visit is possible (two of which joined the next VEDP mission and made a physical visit in late 2021), 5 companies proceeded with the online version, re-scheduled for October 2020. An average of 4 meetings per client per country were arranged and conducted online.

Virtual trade mission to Czech Republic and Slovakia - with 5 participating US companies

Objective: 5 Virginia companies, 3 of which in the security and defense sector, 1 in medical devices, and 1 in safety cameras, signed up for a virtual trade mission to identify potential customers and partners in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Results: EasyLink conducted research into their target sectors in each of the two countries and arranged a series of targetted meetings with interested partners. One of the companies was able to sign up a new distributor in each of the two markets within weeks of the meetings, and the others also established contacts to further develop into actual sales opportunities.

Trade mission of Northern Ireland companies to the Czech Republic and Poland

Objective: A group of 9 companies from Northern Ireland joined a trade mission to the Czech Republic and Poland in search of prospective partners either on one selected market or on both of them.
Results: EasyLink carefully drew up for each participant of the trade mission a list of potential partners in the selected country. In case of the Czech Republic we approached as many as 112 companies of which 31 showed interests in the collaboration proposal and 19 were avaible meeting our clients during the week in which the trade mission took place. We achieved to schedule a similar number of meetings in Poland. EasyLink provided all the necessary support related to the business meeting arrangements, including list of company profiles, country briefing, information on accommodation, interpreting, transfer options, etc.

Trade mission of Turkish houseware producers to Prague

Objective: EasyLink was selected by the Turkish Association of Houseware Producers to organize B2B meetings in Prague for 24 Turkish houseware manufacturers.
Results: A team of 2 consultants performed an extensive telemarketing campaign and approached over 190 companies in the houseware sectors with an invitation to the event. We managed to speak with the relevant managers and attracted 14 local buyers (e.g. ALZA.CZ, EVA.CZ, Packway, 4Home, Bonami etc.) to take part in the event. We arranged 150 meetings held in Hilton Hotel Prague over two days in May 2019. We also arranged a retail tour for the Turkish delegates, took care for transportation (by bus and van) and communicated with Hilton Hotel with regard to all issues concerning the meeting room, networking lunch, A/V technology, catering etc. Most Czech buyers appreciated the quality of organization and format of the event (pre-scheduled meetings with each Turkih supplier). The Turkish producers were happy about the quantity of meetings held in Prague and level of interest from local buyers (some of them even made their first orders right on spot!). The organizer expressed their appreciation of EasyLink's job and suggested we might work together again on a similar event in future.

Trade mission of Korean exporters to Bucharest

Objective: Having successfully completed previous trade missions to Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic, EasyLink was again tasked to organize a trade mission of 7 Korean companies - this time to the capital of Romania.
Results: The participating Korean exporters covered various sectors - e.g. non-ferrous metals, industrial remote controls, welding machines and equipment, slings, cutting machine consumables and welding carriage machines, power ascender rescue systems. EasyLink consultant in Romania shortlisted and approached 340 companies and arranged 39 meetings in total. On the first and third day three of the Korean companies travelled to meet with representatives of the largest shipyards - Damen (former Daewoo) in Mangalia, Constanta shipyard and ATG in Giurgiu. We also took care of selection of the hotel (meeting room and guest rooms). All Korean exporters evaluated the B2B event as a successful one with good potential for their future export activities.

Trade mission of 7 companies from Virginia (US) to Romania and the Czech Republic

Objective: For the second time in less than a year and based on previous successful trade missions, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) entrusted EasyLink again with organization of a market visit of 7 Virginian companies to Romania and the Czech Republic. EasyLink's teams in both countries conducted marekt research of the target sectors and contacted over 250 companies and state institutions., arranged some 80 meetings and provided all the necessary in-market support (car rentals, logistics, interpreting services, accommodation, group dinners etc.).
Results: Our team received praises and accolades from the VEDP representatives, mentioning flawless cooperation from first consultations, mission planning, organization of the market visits and most importantly excellent match making service, making the delegates higly satisfied with the business meetings they took part at. All in all this mission was ranked as superb by VEDP.

Trade mission of eight companies from Busan, South Korea to the Czech Republic

Objective: Following a successful single-sector shipbuilding trade mission of Busan companies to Russia and Poland, EasyLink was again entrusted with organization of a trade mission of eight companies from the Busan region, this time to the Czech Republic.
Results: EasyLink's team of four consultants jointly approached over 470 Czech companies to invite them to the B2B event held in hotel Boscolo in Prague. The Korean exporters were from very different sectors (e.g. welding and plasma cutting equipment, heat exchangers, cable carriers, couplings, waste water technologies, cable glands etc.). Since the event coincided with AMPER, the major electric and electrotechnical trade fair in Brno, we recommended that three out of eight companies travel to Brno to attend the fair and conduct business meetings there. We arranged the central venue (meeting room in Boscolo hotel in Prague), organized a networking lunch for the Korean exporters and their Czech counterparts, hired Czech-Korean interpreters for the entire event and arranged a group transfer to and from Brno. …."First of all, thank you very much for your hard work and cooperation. I received feedbacks from delegation and organizer, and they are satisfied with meetings in the Czech Republic both Prague and Brno. I can see the event has finished successfully. 5 Korean exporters meeting business partners in the Czech Republic and Poland

Objective: Following several successful missions to the Czech Republic, the Suwon City government decided to bring another group of 5 exporters, this time to Poland and the Czech Republic. EasyLink was again tasked with overall organization of the trade mission in both countries.
Results: EasyLink screened and approached over 230 companies in Poland and nearly 190 in the Czech Republic. The Korean products introduced in both markets included eco-friendly disinfectants, kitchen waste disposal systems, an innovative IR switch, video analysis system and work protection smart earplug. We managed to arranged 20 one-to-one meetings in each country. We also took care of all logistics (transfers from/to the airport, to the meeting venue), chose appropriate restaurants for group dinners and helped to coordinate communication with interpreters in both countries. All 5 Korean exporters were extremely happy about the outcomes of their meetings and expressed credit to and appreciation of EasyLink's services. The Suwon City government already advised their intention to organize 2 upcoming trade missions to the CEE in 2018.

Lisburn City Council Trade Mission to Poland

Objective: EasyLink was again commissioned by the Lisburn City Council to support and organize meetings for 4 Northern Irish companies interested in finding end-customers, distributors or sourcing partners in Poland. Covered market sectors included mushroom growing, firewood and wooden garden furniture, fireplaces and stoves and conveyor belts for the crushing and screening sector.
Results: The scope of work included in-market services from customized partner selection to setting up individual meetings as well as organizing all related assistance, travels arrangements, briefing and translation where needed. The Lisburn companies gained interest from 22 companies and EasyLink Poland organized meetings with 19 of them to suit the time-frame, travel distance and availability of the host companies.

Multi-sector Trade Mission from the UK visits Hungary and Slovakia

Objective: Participants consisted of a leading UK waste processor, fitness equipment distributor, ground investigation specialist, provider of eLearning solution and a supplier of a novel solution for consumer-tracking. All 5 companies chose to visit Hungary and 3 opted to visit Slovakia as well.
Results: EasyLink contacted a combined number of 240 companies in the 2 countries, out of which 47 companies expressed interest in meeting the client and meetings were organized with 36 counterparts during a week-long visit in October 2017. All itineraries contained tailored market insights, profiles of all positive partners with detailed information on the company’s activities, size, carried brands, contact person to follow-up with, and any notes and feedback provided by the contact person(s). An overview of pending and negative replies as well as details on travel and interpreter arrangements was also provided in each report.

South Korean shipbuilding companies explore Russia and Poland

Objective: EasyLink was commissioned to co-organize a trade mission of 10 Korean shipbuilding industry companies to 2 European shipbuilding centres – St. Petersburg in Russia and Gdansk in Poland. EasyLink’s task was to introduce the Korean shipbuilders to local potential partners and to set up meetings with parties interested in discussing potential cooperation. The meetings in St. Petersburg were scheduled to take place alongside the Neva Trade Fair, hosting shipbuilders and shipping companies from entire Russia, while the Polish leg was organized as a stand-alone event at a hotel in Gdansk and was mainly intended for companies from the Tri-City area – Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot. Additionally, EasyLink was to organize a trade visit in one of the shipyards in/around St. Petersburg.
Results: EasyLink set up a dedicated website for the two B2B events in English, Russian and Polish, detailing the clients capabilities, references and marketing materials. Interested parties had the option to register online as well. Next step was to build a database of companies most releveant to the clients’ individual needs; these included shipyards, distributors, design companies, service companies, associations, owners and managing companies involved in the naval / marine industry. After approaching all targeted companies and setting up meetings, EasyLink compiled individual reports for each delegate that contained an itinerary of the scheduled meetings, profiles of the positive companies, and a short market insight into the local shipbuilding industry. In Russia, our consultants approached 147 companies – we also had the privilege and permission to contact shipyards operated or affiliated with the state-owned United Shipbuilding Corporation, which designs, builds and repairs 80% of Russian vessels, both military and civil/commercial. EasyLink was also able to secure a site visit at St. Petersburg’s Baltic shipyard, a no small feat as the shipyard builds nuclear vessels. The mission participants were able to talk to the Baltic shipyards trade office and visit their workshops, the outfitting quay and the under-construction multipurpose nuclear ice-breaker «Arctica ». In total, 94 meetings were prearranged and 81 took place at a dedicated one-day event during Neva 2017. In Poland, EasyLink contacted over 270 companies predominantly focusing on companies in the Tri-City area. The event was to take place one week after Baltexpo, the biggest Polish shipbuilding event, and our consultants visited the fair to gather further leads and invite companies personally. EasyLink was able to arrange 60 meetings for the South Korean delegates, who were able to meet some of Poland’s largerst shipyards such as Remontowa or Crist in addition to ship designers, outfitting companies, marine equipment distributors and producers.

Seven Northern Ireland companies explore Poland and the Czech Republic

Objective: EasyLink was commissioned to organize meetings for and support a multi-sector trade mission of 7 companies from the UK. Participants included: premium menswear brand, producer of frozen and chilled meat products supplying retail chains, producer of crushing and screening equipment, designer and builder of recycling lines, waste processor, industrial cleaning services provider and luxury self-tanning brand. 3 companies chose to visit both the Czech Republic and Poland whereas 2 companies opted for Poland and 2 for the Czech Republic.
Results: EasyLink approached each project individually and compiled highly tailored meeting itineraries for all participants. Altogether, 220 companies were screened and contacted and 44 meetings were arranged with highly qualified prospective partners for a week-long visit in June 2017. EasyLink also provided in-market assistance, including group and individual transfer arrangements, translation and accompaniment to meetings and after-meeting support.

Multi-sector trade mission of Mauritian exporters to Hungary

Objective: Following a successful buyers-sellers meeting organized by EasyLink in 2016 in Prague, Enterprise Mauritius, the government trade development agency again commissioned EasyLink to organize a similar event in Budapest. BSM Budapest took place on 8 and 9 May 2017 in Budapest, Hungary. Mauritius export production and export capabilities were represented by 3 clothing companies, 4 rum producers and 2 food exporters
Results: EasyLink carried out extensive research based on telephone interviews as well as website screening to pre-select key personnel (owners, managing directors and buyers) for targeted email and phone campaigns. The first Buyers-Sellers Meeting in Budapest was a successful event where 9 Mauritian companies had an opportunity to meet face-to-face with some of the most important operators in the Hungarian market. A total of 92 meetings were arranged for the 9 participating companies (10 on average), and 76 meetings were actually held during the two-day event – an average of 8.5 meetings per company, high above the minimum target of 5 meetings per company set by EM for this project. Additionally, a high-level meeting itinerary was arranged for Enterprise Mauritius representatives, involving ministries of the Hungarian central government, a chamber of commerce and a trade association, sector-specific organizations and media. The overall mission program also included a networking lunch with the participation of key Hungarian buyers and a foreword of the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Mauritius in Hungary.

Trade mission of 8 companies from Virginia (US) to Poland and the Czech Republic

Objective: Following previous successful trade missions, the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) again entrusted EasyLink with organization of a market visit of 8 Virginian companies to Poland and the Czech Republic. Results: "Filip and his team were very attentive to everyone's needs during the mission. They met participants each morning to set them off on their way for the day, confirming meetings, transportation and troubleshooting when necessary. Filip's team even provided translation services for the key meetings with the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of the Interior, and others. The final itineraries were very detailed, including information on travel between meetings, complete company profiles, relevant market information, as well as trade shows in case these became talking points during any of the meetings. Additionally, the final reports included a listing of all the companies contacted and their initial responses, as there were cases where the Czech companies were interested but not available to meet that week. Therefore, the clients can follow up on their own at a later date to engage in conversation. Top notch service!"

5 Korean exporters meeting business partners in the Czech Republic

Objective: Following three successful trade missions to the Czech Republic in 2014, 2015 and 2016, the City of Suwon brought another group of South Korean exporters to meet prospective partners in the Czech Republic.
Results: EasyLink again researched the market, this time in the following sectors: LED lights, electronic shelf labels, PPA granulate, digital locks and vacuum probe stations. We approached the total of 170 companies across sectors and arranged 18 meetings in the conference room of Prague Holiday Inn Hotel. We also assisted with all logistics arrangements, interpreting services and group dinners in Prague. Since the client was very happy with our achievements, EasyLink was again selected as the service provider of November 2017 trade mission of companies from Suwon to the Czech Republic and Poland.

Two-sectoral (f&b and textile) B2B trade mission of Mauritian exporters to Czech Republic

Objective: Following a successful buyers-sellers meeting organized by EasyLink in 2016 in Prague, Enterprise Mauritius, the government trade development agency again commissioned EasyLink to organize another edition of that event in Prague. BSM Prague 2017 took place on 24th and 25th of April, 2017, in Hilton Hotel Prague. Mauritius export production and export capabilities were represented by 3 clothing companies and 7 exporters of various food or beverages (rum, fruits, etc.)
Results: The backbone of targeting of potential buyers was done through a massive telephone campaign. Due to existing public and EasyLink's own databases, EL was able to use a targeted approach to prospective partners. During the campaign, four EasyLink consultants managed to speak with over 600 companies and directly informed them about the event. Among other promotional channels, the BSM event was advertised through campaigns run by the World of Trade / World of HoReCa (Svět OBCHODU, Svět HORECA) magazines. EasyLink used also own resources to create event-dedicated website at www.madeinmauritius.cz Based on these targeted email, telemarketing, sectoral, and medial campagins, a total of 105 B2B meetings were arranged for the Mauritian exporters. Some high-profile Czech companies were amongst the potential buyers, such as the largest Czech fruits distributors ČEROZ or Hortim.

Trade mission of companies from Northern Ireland to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary

Objective: As a long-term partner EasyLink was again commissioned to organize a multi-sector trade mission of 8 Northern Irish companies to three CEE countries. The companies came from very diverse backgrounds - e.g. decorative cables, diesel generators, kitchen textile and decoration, detergents, whiskey and liquors, solar applications and renewables, thermo-chemical removal of contaminants from process equipment.
Results: EasyLink managed to cater for diverse needs of particular participants as most of them visited perhaps only one or two of the three markets, while others covered all three countries and had diverse requirements for special in-market support. We arranged the total of 57 highly focused face-to-face meetings in all three countries and our consultants were present on site in each market to overlook smooth course of the entire mission.

Trade mission of Dutch environmental technology suppliers to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, October 2016

Objective: Following a successful trade mission of environmental technology suppliers to Hungary and Slovakia in 2015, EasyLink was commissioned to arrange meetings and organize a business trip to all three Baltic countries for two Dutch companies.
Results: EasyLink provided initial lists of prospective partners for the clients' review and prioritization. EasyLink in-market counsultants listed over 170 companies, approached over 70 prospects and arranged 30 meetings with interested parties. EasyLink also looked up the best travel options and recommended flight, hotel and rental car arrangements for both clients to make the visit of the three Baltic states as smooth as possible.

Northern Ireland's Trade Mission to Poland

Objective: Our clients, a producer of detergents and other hygienic products and a manufacturer of equipment for the agricultural, construction and waste industries, wished to explore the Polish market and availed of EasyLink services to identify and meet potential distribution partners.
Results: EasyLink indetified and contacted a total number of 102 companies for the 2 clients. 13 prospects expressed interest in meeting the client and EasyLink organized a meeting itineraries for June 2016, including arranging and confrming the meetings and assisiting with travel and interpreter arrangements.

Mauritius in Prague: Multi-sector trade mission of Mauritian companies to the Czech Republic

Objective: EasyLink was approached by Enterprise Mauritius, the government agency promoting trade development and export of Mauritian companies, to organize a buyers-sellers meeting in Prague for 15 Mauritian companies wishing to enter the Czech market. Organization of the event included selection of the meeting venue, organizing a networking lunch for 50+ persons, pre-event marketing campaign (direct mail campaign and dedicated website), set up of the meeting room (exhibition stands, racks), arranging hostesses and interpreters, arranging interviews with sector specific magazines and organizing one-to-one business meetings.
Results: Based on targeted campaigns that comprised of six waves of email blasts to four different database sources and a direct phone call campaign with hundreds of performed calls to selected potential buyers from target segments, a total of 134 meetings were arranged with 53 companies. Given these numbers, relevancy of meetings and very positive responses from the Mauritian delegates, representatives of Enterprise Mauritius and the Czech buyers, EasyLink rates the BSM Prague event as very successful. One of the Mauritian companies expected a deal worth EUR 40.000 to be closed immediately following the BSM Prague event.

Trade Mission of Korean LED lighting and electronic product manufacturers to the Czech Republic

Objective: Following the successful missions in 2014 and 2015, the City of Suwon approached EasyLink again to prepare a meeting programme for 5 Korean exporters in Prague and Vienna. The products introduced and promoted included double-sided screen display, LED lights, audio system, AC direct LED driver, etc.
Results: EasyLink shortlisted and approached 229 companies in the Czech Republic and arranged 28 meetings. EasyLink was also responsible for all logistics and interpretation arrangements as well as choice of the meeting venue and restaurants.

Lisburn City Council leads 4 companies to the Czech Republic

Objective: As a stable partner of the Lisburn City Council, EasyLink provided support to three companies from Northern Ireland wishing to explore their business opportunities in the Czech market.
Results: The mission participants came from quite diverse industrial backgrounds ranging from conveyor belts, intelligent detection systems to halloween/party costumes and accessories, and haute couture fashion. EasyLink conducted an extensive research and compiled lists of companies to be approached. Each participant received a detailed report with their specific meeting programme and valuable market insight. EasyLink also managed to obtain tickets to the major Prague fashion Show for one of the clients who met with leading Czech fashion designers. We also catered for all logistic issues and accompanied the clients to meetings wherever necessary or requested.

Trade mission of companies from Northern Ireland to the Czech Republic

Objective: EasyLink was again commissioned with preparation and organization of an advanced trade mission of three Northern Irish companies to the Czech Republic. This time the participants included producers of professional detergents, waste managament technology and agricultural and construction machinery.
Results: EasyLink prepared detailed reports for each of the participant containing important data on production, import, competitive landscape, opportunities and potential partners. The clients then had a chance to review the reports and select the best fits to be approached by EasyLink. We organized face-to-face meetings at the prospects' premises and provided the clients with all necessary support (including accompaniment, interpretation, arrangement of car rental and accommodation). All three NI companies were pleased with EasyLink's services and evaluated the mission as highly productive.

As part of the delegation's visit, the programme included a matchmaking session and networking luncheon at a central venue in Bratislava, the capital city.

Objective: In September 2015, EasyLink organized a trade mission for 4 companies from the U.S. – all four companies visited the Czech Republic and Poland, one company continued to Hungary and another client also explored Estonia and Lithuania. Trade Mission of Latvian food producers to the Czech Republic

Objective: A group of 4 Latvian food producers joined under the Latvian Food Cluster initiative to explore export opportunities in the Czech Republic. We translated and prepared PDF profiles and company literature to be disseminated to interested parties. Objective: Invest Northern Ireland chose to employ our services to explore the latter of Central and Easter Europe and entrusted 10 companies from various sectors (aviation, electronics, food, construction, waste processing, etc.) into our hands to scope out export opportunities for their products in Romania and/or Bulgaria and to help them start up their export initiatives in the form of meeting prospective partners, whether they were to be distributors or end-customers, during an in-market visit in November 2012. While 6 participants engaged our services in both Romania and Bulgaria, 3 chose to focus their efforts only in Romania and 1 in Bulgaria.
Results: EasyLink consultants in Romania and Bulgaria compiled highly individualized reports for each of the mission participants and set up on-to-one meetings with prospective partners for November 2012. EasyLink also organized all related assistance, including venue selection and booking, travel arrangements and briefing, all of which was part of the final report. For each company taking part in the in-market visit an average 6.5 meetings were organized in Romania and 7 in Bulgaria. All the participants commended EasyLink for the professional service and market support and assessed the foreseen combined export sales potential for the following year was to reach several EUR million.

Organizing a business matching meetings session for companies from Hong Kong

Objective: Our consulting team in Prague was requested to organize a matchmaking session for 13 producers of consumer electronics, electrical appliances, household items, gifts, fashion and fashion accessories, watches, bags and shoes wishing to identify prospective buyers in the Czech Republic. The matchmaking session was held in conference rooms of Andel’s hotel on 25 September 2009 as a part of a trade mission led by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to Warsaw and Prague.
Results: As part of the buyers’ recruitment process EasyLink’s team approached over 80 companies active in the sale of fashion accessories, 95 in the area of home products and houseware, 75 from the footwear sector and 66 from the electronics segment. We put a special emphasis on finding relevant and suitable well-respected companies with genuine interest in building long-standing relationships with their counterparts from Hong Kong. Altogether 28 Czech buyers pre-registered for the event and 57 meetings were scheduled. Each of the companies (Czech and from HK) held several meetings! EasyLink also provided interpreting services and arranged for drinks and refreshments for the morning and afternoon parts of the event as well as a networking luncheon. The overall results of the matching meetings were quite positive! The Czech buyers commented on the good organization of the event and expressed satisfaction with the quality of their counterparts from Hong Kong. One of the Czech buyers immediately placed an order for jewellery and costume jewellery, while a large Czech importer and wholesaler of watch parts brought drawings of watch parts with exact measurements and also placed an order (worth over several thousand U.S. dollars) during one of his meetings.

Results: The scope of our work included customized market research and partner selection, setting up individual meetings as well as organizing all related assistance, including venue selection and booking, travel arrangements, briefing and group networking events. Where requested, the mission participants were accompanied to their meetings by EasyLink’s staff who provided in-market support and interpretation. Region of South Moravia puts EasyLink in charge of organizing a business mission to Estonia and Latvia

Objective: In order to promote and boost export volume and reputation of the region in the Baltic countries, the Region of South Moravia assigned EasyLink with conducting a profound market research aimed at identification of potential partners for 6 South Moravian companies from various industries, presenting them partnership opportunities offered by the participating companies and arranging meetings with entities with confirmed interest further discussion. Apart from business "matchmaking", EasyLink was in charge of all the organizational and logistics arrangements including transport, lodging or interpretation services for mission participants who included regional government officials and business representatives.
Results: For each participating company a customized market research was conducted by EasyLink’s local consultants who identified and approached over 270 potential partners and arranged 50 meetings with relevant managers. EasyLink also arranged media coverage through a round table with local Chamber of commerce representatives and journalists.

Region of South Moravia puts EasyLink in charge of organizing a business mission to Slovenia

Objective: In order to promote and boost export volume and reputation of the region, the Region of South Moravia led a multi-sector mission for 6 companies to Slovenia. EasyLink was requested to identify potential partners, introduce the mission participants to them and arrange one-to-one meetings. In addition, EasyLink was asked to arrange all organizational and logistics aspects including transport, lodging and interpretation.
Results: For each mission participant an individual market research was conducted by EasyLink’s consultants who approached over 150 potential partners and arranged 25 meetings with their decision makers. EasyLink also arranged for media coverage, organizing a round table with local Chamber of commerce representatives and journalists.

Virginia multi-sector trade mission to Prague and Budapest, June 2008

Objective: Once again, EasyLink was commissioned to prepare a trade mission to the CEE region - this time to the Czech Republic and Hungary - led by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership.
Results: The scope of work included all in-market services, from customized market research and partner selection to setting up individual meetings, as well as organizing all related assistance, including venue selection and booking, travel arrangements, briefing, group networking and other events. For the 4 mission participants EasyLink scheduled a total of 40 meetings in both countries leading to immediate business opportunities. One of the participants even signed a distributorship agreement with a local company less than two months (!) after the mission. All the mission participants praised EasyLink team for great service and invaluable market support.

Region of South Moravia again relied on EasyLink to organize its trade mission - this time to the Netherlands

Objective: EasyLink won a public tender to fully organize a business mission for South Moravian companies, starting with recruitment and leading up to post-event evaluation of business results generated by its participants.
Results: EasyLink put together a group of 6 qualified and interesting participants. We then conducted tailor-made research for each one of them, using our own in-market consultants in the Netherlands. Prior to the mission, EasyLink held a workshop to brief all participants about the Dutch business environment and to provide them hints on doing business with the Dutch. Then, we held a 2-day visit to the Netherlands filled up with individual meetings for each participant. The event also included a dinner with top representatives of the Czech Embassy and the Utrecht province. In total, EasyLink communicated with 205 Dutch companies, and arranged 29 relevant meetings. All 6 participants valued the mission very positively, and 3 expected sales in near future. All six companies would happily consider joining another trade mission, especially if organized by EasyLink Business Services.

Malta Enterprise hired EasyLink to organize a 5-day trade mission to Warsaw (Poland) and Moscow (Russia)

Objective: The client recruited a group of Maltese businesses interested in establishing partnerships with Polish and Russian customers, distributors and in some cases potential suppliers. The visit was planned for the last week of September 2007, and each company was expecting to have at least 6 meetings in each destination.
Results: EasyLink conducted tailored market research for each of the participants, typically contacting 25-40 prospective partners in each country and evaluating prospects of potential partnership through several levels of contacts with their managers. As a result, 6-7 meetings were arranged for each mission member in each city, and travel, interpretation and other required arrangements were made to allow for a smooth and productive market visit. Feedback was largely positive.

Lisburn City Council leads a trade mission from Northern Ireland to Prague, Czech Republic

Objective: EasyLink partnered with a Northern Ireland’s consultancy to provide a one-stop solution to the Lisburn City Council wishing to support local companies interested in starting business in the Czech Republic.
Results: The project deliverables spanned from mission member recruitment, launch seminar, and one-to-one export consultancy to fully customized individual market research and targeting, and preparation of meeting itineraries with pre-selected relevant local partners. The actual visit included a country briefing, 4-8 meetings for each mission member, on-site support (accompaniment, interpretation, consultancy), and other related services (venue booking, accommodation, travel arrangements).

Trade mission of watch suppliers from Hong Kong to the Czech Republic, October 2005

Organizing a trade mission to Varna, Bulgaria

Trade mission to Poland

Organizing a textile industry trade mission to the Czech Republic

Objective: EasyLink was commissioned to organize a textile industry trade mission to the Czech Republic in November 2003.
Results: EasyLink’s consultants identified and approached potential local partners and/or customers for individual trade mission participants. Relevant decision makers within the closely pre-selected Czech companies were presented the event and proposed a meeting with one or more Turkish companies (based on Turkish firm’s request and Czech firm’s profile and interests), and invited to a personal meeting. EasyLink then supervised the meetings in the Marriott Hotel in Prague. EasyLink provided each Turkish participant with personalized schedule of meetings and detailed company profiles in printed form.
